National popular car will have reduced tax and may become cheaper; government prepares new automotive incentive program

In yet another attempt to stimulate the automotive sector and make popular cars more accessible to the population, the federal government is preparing to launch a new tax incentive program. Called Sustainable Car, the plan foresees a reduction in the IPI (Tax on Industrialized Products) for cheaper vehicles produced in Brazil, with the start scheduled for next week.
